About Us
Downeast Wilderness Experience (DWE) is currently offering camping in the Down East forest. The three campgrounds are located in Northern Washington and Hancock Counties on Lower Sabao Lake, Upper Cranberry Lake, and Deer Lake.
In 2009 we are happy to add to our offerings a rustic cabin on pristine Gouldsboro Bay in Corea, Maine.
In years to come, DWE will be a vacation destination providing guided outdoor experiences and facilities for recreation and camping in unique wilderness settings.
In the future, DWE will offer outdoor and adventure recreation packages which will include a variety of activities, such as fishing, hiking, camping, wilderness interpretation, historic interpretation, canoeing, kayaking, snowmobiling, and hunting.
