About Us
Downeast Wilderness Experience (DWE) is currently offering camping in the Down East forest. The three campgrounds are located in Northern Washington and Hancock Counties on Lower Sabao Lake, Upper Cranberry Lake, and Deer Lake.
In years to come, DWE will be a vacation destination providing guided outdoor experiences and facilities for recreation and camping in unique wilderness settings.
In 2008, DWE will offer outdoor and adventure recreation packages which will include a variety of activities, such as fishing, hiking, camping, wilderness interpretation, historic interpretation, canoeing, kayaking, snowmobiling, and hunting.
