Deer Lake Campground

See DeLorme Maine Atlas & Gazeteer page 34, section 5-E.

7 Waterfront Sites + 13 Wooded, Water View Sites
All sites are within walking distance of the beach.

Deer Lake Campground has been extremely popular for many years. The Narraguagus River flows out of Deer Lake, just a few minutes paddle from the campground. This campground has 20 sites, tall pines, a sand beach, and offers fishing and swimming.

The road that previously ran through the center of the campground has been re-routed, making the campground even more secluded and quiet. Located just two miles off the Stud Mill Road, Deer Lake is a perfect spot to set up camp and explore the many other lakes in the area.

The public landing on Nicataous Lake is just four miles away. Mopang Lake, Eagle Lake, Alligator Lake, and many others are easy trips from Deer Lake. Duck Lake is a nice destination to ride to on your ATV, and many ride to Nicataous Lodge for lunch or dinner from Deer Lake.

Grand Lake Stream is less than two hours away, offering a special day trip. Over 800 miles of ATV trails are waiting for you to explore. Deer Lake is the perfect place to begin your Down East ATV tour. ATVs are allowed to and from your site only - riding around the campsite is prohibited.
