Welcome to Down East Maine's
Four-Season Recreation Destination
Downeast Wilderness Experience offers camping opportunities in the heart of the Down East forest in Northern Washington and Hancock Counties on Lower Sabao Lake, Upper Cranberry Lake, and Deer Lake.
Our location provides outdoor enthusiasts with ample opportunities to enjoy paddling, fishing, hunting, outdoor photography, swimming, hiking, ATV trails, and much more. There are numerous other lakes, rivers, and streams in the area, and Acadia National Park and Grand Lake Stream are easy day-trips.
